Back again. I was not half as ill as Lestrade would have you believe and at no point was there whining of any sort, especially not for ice cream. I was stoic.
I completely agree with Lestrade's self assessment in the comments of the last post ("Damn right I'm hot") and offer the following completely accurate photo as proof:
Almost disturbingly realistic, if you ask me. Don't the eyes rather follow you around the room? Although Lestrade would like me to add that, even if he did own a suit that color, which he doesn't, he wouldn't wear it with a yellow shirt. He also claims that he does occasionally comb his hair. (Art by Sherlock. I'm hanging it on the fridge as soon as I finish this post.)
It's February, which means I get to change the background of my blog (self imposed rule - only once a month). I'm fairly certain my level of excitement over this means I need to get out more. Tomorrow I'm taking the boys and the Dogs of War to Hyde Park, where I predict we will get into terrible trouble when they chase the hardy Alpine Ducks.
ETA: New background related to new poll. Not sure about it though.

I'm glad to hear that the entire household is doing better; well enough to be going out to the park anyway.
Sherlock is a bit of an artist, isn't he? ...The eyes really do follow you...that is mildly unnerving...
And the background's lovely. Math is only slightly less sexy than chemistry. :)
Right? Art classes for that boy, ASAP. (Seriously though, it's not bad! Especially for having been drawn on Mrs Hudson's iPod. He was very serious about it.)
The chemistry backgrounds were basically beakers of rainbow colored liquids. I was not impressed. I'll see how this one wears; might need something more cheerful to get through February.
Aw what a precious picture. You can do it with an iPod?!? I'm most impressed!
So the boys are quite taken with your DI, right? but then again, who wouldn't? I'm sure he was great when you were not!sick. ;)
There's a program called...Doodle-something? Doodlebuddy? That sounds right. You draw with your fingers. Entertains Sherlock for entire minutes at a time and no chance of getting markers on the furniture.
Yeah. He's brilliant with them. ♥
I wanted to throw in a literature-based joke, just so the humanities side of the house would have some representation, but nothing comes to mind and google "helps" by providing such tidbits as this:
Q: How do you get an English Major off your porch?
A: Pay him for the pizza.
*sigh*
Love Sherlock's pic of Lestrade. Has he done one of you yet to go with it?
Sherlock's drawings are quite good, considering his age. :) Hasn't he drawn a picture of you? If so, share it with us! :D
Lovely picture. If the music route doesn't go well Sherlock can try the painting path =] Many choices there, and he's only five! so you know, he might decide he wants to give being a Chef a try, chemistry and art at the same time, right?
Haha I'm with @X we need more literature jokes! Though I did enjoy the science ones =]
as amazing as sherlock's art is, i demand an actual photo of this alleged hotness.
Lestrade, looking mighty fine there; I can't say that I know exactly what you look like (and I'm not Googling for newspaper pics of you, how creepy would that be) but I've got a good idea now with this picture.
I looked around for fashion designer jokes, but uh, seems to be a little too specific, so I ended up with jokes about artists and yeah, now I'm sad... Those were mean jokes.
I'll come up with a joke about seam allowances or something...
X - ha, I've heard that one before, but it was an art history major instead. He has not done one of me, but the one of the Dogs of War is pretty good.
Lupe - no picture of me, but you all are swelling his head with praise so I expect one will be forthcoming. ;)
Trista - Sorry to hear about the mean jokes. I looked around a bit for doctor jokes, which are fairly easy to find; finding funny ones however is a completely different story.
Lestrade says for god's sake don't google him (which I think means I need to google him directly after I post this), he'll provide a decent photo.
justblue - photo forthcoming!
