on the road again

Sherlock is at school, L is not at work, and his bike is calling him so loudly I think even I can hear it. We're off soon for a nice long ride to nowhere in particular. Portchester Castle possibly? Pretty long ride, but I think we could manage. It looks nicely deserted in those pictures. I always think historic sites would be better viewed without everyone else viewing them with you - of course, everyone else is probably thinking the same thing. Anyway, we'll come up with something. Or we won't, and we'll just ride until we get somewhere, which is nice too.

Oh, and I did make the text smaller, if you're thinking that. It's not your imagination, or your eyes going. Although I had a fun time switching it back and forth really quickly while L reloaded the page to show me the bigger text...which suddenly wasn't there. He got back at me, don't worry.

I'm just killing time right now really. L's been in our room changing for so long I suspect he might want some help with that... I'd better go and check, right?

Just to be on the safe side, yeah :-)

Enjoy your ride gents...

have a fun day with the bikes if you made it past checking on the changing ;-)

Didn't see you'd posted this.

As you can imagine, readers, he's more skilled at removing leathers than applying them.

I was only taking time because I was looking for some summer gear!

Italy certainly inspired you two!

John inspires me ;)

Did you have fun gents?

How was school Sherlock?

You're probably way too busy to read this Mycroft but I hope school is treating you well :-)

Greg Lestrade said...

Had a lovely day, thanks. :) Although John threatened to leave me in the castle!

REReader said...

Oh? And why would that be? :)

And how did the bike feel on a longer haul?

Greg Lestrade said...

Because he couldn't hear the voices...he didn't see the people...

But he did occasionally feel the chill wind blowing on the back of his neck...

He was pretending to be haunted Greg the florist!

Greg Lestrade said...

I've no idea what you're talking about.

REReader said...

It seems to be an appropriate place for ghosts...

(A scarf would take care of chill drafts, whether or not supernatural.... ;))

John H. D. Watson said...

He was just standing there staring! Deliberately trying to freak me out!

REReader said...

Perhaps he was possessed by the spirit of Greg-the-florist, since its stuck in the middle of a ghost story? Better write another chapter and dispose of hauntings!

Greg Lestrade said...

I was doing no such thing. I was just having a nice look around a castle, being completely normal.

John H. D. Watson said...

Making creepy noises and blowing on the back of my neck...

And it's your turn to write more, by the way. :p

Greg Lestrade said...

Think you're imagining things, Danger. You feeling okay?

John H. D. Watson said...

Maybe I'm possessed...

Greg Lestrade said...

Think you might be :)

RR - the bike was very nice. Touch soft at the front for my liking, so I'll sort that out. Very comfy, though. Nice to have a bit more power.

pandabob said...

I'm glad the bike is comfy Greg, it sounds like you had a very fun day and what can be a better use of a day than that :-)

I like halloumi.

REReader said...

Generally, Sherlock, or did you have some at lunch or dinner today?

Sherlock said...

I always like it and we had it tonight in stuffed vegetables.

REReader said...

Mmmm, that sounds really nice. :)

Did you have a good day in school, too?

Greg Lestrade said...

he's gone to bed. He seemed to have enjoyed school as much as usual, though.

And we had stuffed veg for dinner. Sherlock un-stuffed all his and ate it separately...

REReader said...

Ah, deconstructed stuffed vegetables! :)

Greg Lestrade said...

right. off to bed. Hope John doesn't hear any odd moaning sounds or things going bump in the night ;)

Tina said...

well, did things go bump in the night :-)

Greg Lestrade said...

The night was entirely peaceful. Although John complained of chill breezes, mumblings, odd noises...

Small Hobbit said...

We get those - I ususally nudge the OH in the ribs to get him to turn over ;)

Greg Lestrade said...

I hope you haven't nudged him so hard he's ended up haunting our bed ;)

Greg Lestrade said...

If you're about, John, I coukd do with a coffee?

John H. D. Watson said...

Yeah, sounds good. I'm not far - want to meet at the coffee shop?

Greg Lestrade said...

Yeah, thanks.

John H. D. Watson said...

You all right? You look sort of...not.

Greg Lestrade said...

Sort of not. Just wanted to spend a bit of time with you. Love you. Thanks. Made me feel better.

John H. D. Watson said...

Good. I love you too, and it was nice to see you. We can talk later if you want to? Yesterday was wonderful, by the way. Even if you did keep blowing in my ear.

On my way to Sherlock now. Let me know if you want us to pick up anything for dinner.

Greg Lestrade said...

Thanks. Maybe. Don't really know what to say. It was just bad memories.

pandabob said...

I sorry today has been rough on you Greg. I hope you're home to your boys as on time as possible :-)

Greg Lestrade said...

Thanks. Shouldn't be too late, just hot a few things to do after a crime scene earlier

Greg Lestrade said...

Sherlock,, got a present for you, as long as John says you deserve it.

Sherlock said...

I definitely do, what is itttt?

Greg Lestrade said...

I'll be leaving in a few minutes, so if JOHN says you deserve it, you'll find out soon! I'm sure you've been very good, right?

John H. D. Watson said...

He's been pretty good, yeah. Done his chores and everything.

Greg Lestrade said...

Well done, Sherlock. Afraid it's only wrapped in newspaper - I didn't have anything nicer.

REReader said...

So, what is itttt? :)

Sherlock said...

It's a skull but I don't know what animal yet I'm trying to find out

REReader said...

Cool! Please let us know when you find out, I'm very curious.

pandabob said...
