Well. This was going to be about Laura's surprise visit, but if you've been reading the comments on L's blog, you'll know it's not going to be.
Someone sent photos to L at work today, pictures of all of us at bouncy Stonehenge. No note, apparently, no overt threat, but the fact that someone sent them is threatening enough. L couldn't reach me or Rachel at first and was understandably concerned, but everyone's fine, physically at least.
It's a difficult situation. I mean, I know I'm stating the obvious here, but...yeah. There's not enough information to actually do anything yet and no way of knowing when there will be. The police and Mrs H's people will be working on it, so that'll have to be enough. I hate the waiting though, always have.

Me too.
Love you.
Maybe we really should try to get away for a few days. Might do us all good.
Sounds good to me. Somewhere sunny. Can you get the time off?
I'll explain the circumstances and run my rest days together. I think I can make sure it isn't a problem.
That sounds like a very excellent idea! Here's hoping you two can make it happen. :)
All right. I've been looking at a few places, I'll show you if you come over here.
I know it's not the best reason to get away but it is a brilliant idea :-)
go somewhere quiet, does Mrs H not have a secret sun drenched beach somewhere you could borrow?
AnonyBob - to be honest, rather go somewhere completely random. Less chance of anyone trying to find us, I suppose.
Be nice if she could guarantee some sun though, wherever we end up.
that makes sense, sun would give John a chance to work on his tan ;-)
I think my tan would take quite a bit longer than we're likely to have, sadly.
but you could achieve a whole new shade of pink.
it's not fair is it, red can be achieved in a few hours but a tan takes a life time!
Pink...or lobster.
Anonybob - a few months anyway. I managed it in Afghanistan, but not often elsewhere.
not worth the tan I'm thinking. I'd much prefer you to stick with rainy London and envying Lestrade's tan :-)
I'll make sure i rub sunblock into his pale bits regularly, don't worry.
He's googling nude beaches now...
don't forget the coloured suncream you can have fun drawing pictures on each other on said beaches ;-)
Sun and time away sound like the best getaway for you all.
Pandabob, my sister accidentally purchased the colored suncream and didn't realize it until she went to put it on. She had to walk about London all day, and couldn't bring herself to do it. She said she only turned slightly pink, and wishes she had been brave enough to wander around with a blue face.
Personally,I think it would be kind of fun to wander about with a blue face.

Not in the least bit surprised :-p
Am I right in thinking that you haven't taken any annual leave for a while either, Lestrade? Maybe you could persuade your boss to let you throw in a day or two, so you don't end up having to do a long run of working days when you get back?

Is that all you plan on rubbing into his bits, Lestrade?
I wish I had the guts for a smurffs day out piplover I think it would be fun :-)
I hope all is quiet in the danger/lestallion household and some of you manage to sleep till morning :-)
Anonybob
Sorry to hear of such horribly frightening things - I understand your desire to just...take off and get away from it all for a little while. I hope you find someplace you both want to go, and manage to enjoy it when you get there.
Keeping you all in my thoughts, even when I'm not around as much.
Going some place interesting or fun would be an excellent way of making lemonade from a day filled with lemons.

Yeah, we shall try.
Once upon a time, in a dragon's cave far, far away...
If that's a new bedtime story, DW, I need a little more to work with!
Cheers, everyone.
Can tell it you it was bloody hard leaving John and the boys to come to work this morning.
I would believe that Greg :-(
I hope you can sort out getting away from work for a few days so you don't have to be apart too much :-)
I'm not surprised L. I too hope you can get some time away soon - I very much doubt that you're able to give your full attention to your own work at the moment.
Hope Sally's keeping you topped up with coffee.
Thanks. Yeah, my team are being great. And I can get some time off. Don't think I was the first person to speak to my Super about it, somehow.
Given that they just got you back, that's really good of them.

The least you should get with all this is some time with your boys :-)
I hope the day passes quickly and uneventfully and you're home to your boys soon.
I hope Sherlock and mycroft and you are ok this morning John.
Anyone who's got a problem just gets reminded all the times the boss has pulled double shifts or covered for people when they've needed time off.
you're a good woman looking out for him Sally, I hope you weren't too busy when he was away
I hope he can manage to clear the paperwork pile enough that it won't haunt him on his time off, Sally, but I'm glad you and the team are willing to help. You're good people.

You're a gem, Sally!
Thanks, Sally. I'm so glad he's got you looking out for him, and the rest of his team too.
Sally, I haven't.said in a while how awesome you are. How would you feel about transferring to another governmental branch in another government? ;)
(Good thinking, DW! ;D)
Sally - you're an absolute star :-)
DW - stop trying to poach my staff. Took me ages to make a half decent sergeant out of her!
I'm sure Sally would say the same about making a half-decent DI out of you!
John, if you ever do have a quiet moment, or need a distraction, we'd probably enjoy hearing more about Laura.
Anon - I'll work on it, thanks.
Are you wanting some company or going back to bed?
