Danger - You've got to write the next chapter of Greg the Florist. If Greg inherits a large manor house then I wouldn't complain.

When John came into work, he found the door locked, and the shop dark. He knocked anyway, and it was only a few seconds before Greg pulled it open in a jangle of bells and pulled him inside. His face was very serious.
"John. I have to tell you something."
"Are you firing me?"
"What? No!"
"Have you got a boyfriend?"
"I... Well, I hope I've got you. But. This is a little... Something's happened."
John tried not to let himself speculate further. "All right. Tell me."
"There's this house. In the country. It's my second cousin's or something. Was. Now it's mine. He left it to me. I met him once! I didn't know he had some massive pile out in the middle of nowhere!"
"So...you've inherited a house?"
"Yes!"
"All right. Well. Are there taxes or something? This doesn't seem like cause for alarm to me."
Greg pulled a creased photo out of his pocket and handed it over. John looked at it.
"...All right. That's not a house. That's a castle. You've inherited a castle."
Greg nodded. "I have to go to the funeral at least. And look at the place. Look. I realise this is the worst almost-possibly-first date ever, but will you come with me?"
John thought about for all of two seconds. "Of course," he said.

Tink I will get right on to hugging Danger as soon as I see him next. And He was trying to draw a heart on my bum, but I woke up and couldn't stop laughing, so it's a bit wobbly. The heart, not my bum.
I don't know if we'll believe that without some sort of proof, Lestrade.

There's nothing wrong with your bum! The heart, on the other hand, is decidedly lopsided.
It's more like one side of a heart and sort of a wobbly outline on the other. He wouldn't keep still.

Thanks Tink et al, I did get home safely, if belatedly. We ended up delayed because another passenger on the van decided to get dinner after getting off the plane. Fine, I get you're hungry, but way to make everyone else wait an hour since you didn't check in after your plane landed. :/

Don't know why I woke up. Feeling better now but after I got in this morning I was in the state of tiredness where you feel drunk. Unbalanced, woozy, thought I was just going to pitch forward on my desk and sleep. Picked up now. After coffee and with work to be done to get me going.
Sorry to hear that. Hope today is engaging enough without being demanding.

Ugh. I could do with that, too. Or, you know, just one night where I slept.through would be great. You've got connections, right? International Hibernation Day should be on a Thursday so you van hibernate straight through the weekend.
That would be nice. But Mycroft's with us this weekend, so it would hardly be fair to hibernate then!

Yeah. I don't know. I hate Sleeping pills, but...we'll see. I have no idea why i'm not sleeping. I dont feel particularly stressed or anything. And by evening I'm wide awake.
Maybe the four days--or nights--of night shift has thrown your circadian rhythms off? Like jet lag, only worse. It might be worth trying to get outside in daylight as much as you can, and dimming lights and so on in the evening--earlier than usual.

RR - maybe. I think I was fine at first though. Although now I cant remember and it all seems like a long time ago.
Going to try and swing Friday off to get a long weekend. Although with the case that's just been dropped on us I'm not sure I'll get it.
You were also super exhausted at first. And...well, you know yourself best, of course, but it seems to me that however much you put things aside in the front of your mind, they worry you in the back of your mind until you take some action. Even when there's no action you can take.
