I've been ordered upstairs to bed while L prepares something for tomorrow morning, so I'll just take this opportunity to say briefly how wonderful he is and how much I love him. And how...constantly amazed I am at my good fortune.
And I'll also post this, just in case Sherlock needs something else to occupy himself with in the morning, or more to the point, in case Mycroft and Anthea need help occupying him. The youtube channel belongs to someone who works at a natural history museum in Montana and this is the first in a series of videos in which they acquire a wolf that was hit by a car and prepare it for...display, presumably, but I haven't watched that far yet.
All this one has is a dead wolf, but the subsequent episodes are more graphic, so proceed with caution. Eventually, I believe, there will be flesh-eating beetles involved. You're welcome, Sherlock.

Lestrade wrote down things like clues to make up names or dates and then you had to look for the grave with that name or date and then once you found it you had to follow directions or find something nearby and then there would be an egg. Or you had to know what sort of tree or flower there was and then you'd find an egg or three of them were just hidden and I found them too
And Lestrade made lamb and cooked it on bones and it smells nice and it's going to be ready soon and I helped with the bones and with rubbing in the oil and herbs this morning.
It sounds like a very fun and exciting hunt--and you got chocolate!
And good job helping cook the lamb, it sounds yummy. Enjoy!
Wow, that sounds like a great Easter egg hunt, Sherlock. We always just had boiled eggs that we colored, and we took turns hiding them and finding them until they were all cracked and icky or we were too tired to do it again. And ham instead of lamb. But the lamb sounds good. Do you eat mint sauce with it? (I've read about mint sauce, but I've never actually seen it.)

L - the didn't win by that much. Watched the race with OH saying things like "I got very drunk in that pub" and "the brewery used to smell".
Didn't realise that they now broadcast the comments of the coxes, including (oh how embarrassing) a swear word. Not sure what the race commentator who seemed shocked was expecting ;)

Shy anon - thank you for that link! I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't have thought of bagpipes and electric guitar going together particularly - or at all really - but they definitely made it work.
