spiders: more of them

Cara asked in the comments of the last post about Australian spiders. Having done some research, my verdict is: No thank you. Someone else left a link to a camel spider devouring a lizard, and while I'm not sure "awesome" is the word I would choose,  it was certainly impressive. I hardly know what to say about it, except that I'm glad that's not my face.

This post is mainly an excuse to share this video:

I find their inclusion of Vegemite entirely appropriate.

(Sherlock lisps a few very few select words, most of them in French. One of them is thpider. It's adorable.)

The tune is very catchy, but makes me not want to visit Australia. For some reason, I found the Vegemite a little more terrifying than the rest of the animals listed.

My little cousin used to have a lisp. It was quite adorable really. Sadly, she was teased horrible for the lisp. 8'C

I'm so sorry about your little cousin. Children can be awful. Sherlock hasn't had that problem yet. That I know of. It occurs to me now that perhaps he's had it and, er, dealt with it. But surely the teacher would've called me if there was kicking...?

You could get a Weta to eat the camel spider for you.

Dear god.

I think I saw a Godzilla film like that once.

I fear Australia is one continent I shall try to avoid at all costs now(sigh)... I really want to know what the big deal of vegeamite is.

I'd rather like to go there someday, despite the wildlife. Fortunately, the Vegemite moves slowly and is easy to avoid.

Somehow, knowing the Vegemite moves slowly soothes my fears. Almost enough to visit Australia.

Sherlock is a smart boy. He could probably find to beat up a bully and not get into any trouble. I never got into trouble when beating up a boy. Then again, would any teacher believe a tiny girl in a pouffy dress could beat up a boy twice her size?

Heh. My sister Harry's teachers certainly didn't. She was an unholy terror at school.
