So, that was Murray. I'd told him about L and the boys and life in general obviously, but not about the blogs because I knew he'd be on here in a flash with every embarrassing story about me he could think of. He was surprisingly restrained though. Not just in that but in general. I suppose it comes of being home and trying to decide what to do next. Because you can't do that sort of thing forever, no matter how...essential it feels. You have to pick when to get out, or the choice gets taken away from you.

Eye. It was pointed out by a certain gorgeous doctor that I shouldn't ride down to Bristol with crap in my eye tomorrow. And the eye hospital with 24hr A&E is literally around the corner and along a bit. So stupid not to go.
He's full of good ideas that doc ;-) good luck.
Someday I'm going to look up what A&E means and stop thinking of the TV channel everytime I see it.

Rant about doctors making you feel like you've wasted their time. Gotta be careful now I'm marrying one though ;) and obviously not all doctors. Just the ones I meet...

Doctors have a skill for it that's for sure but I wonder if part of the problem is you (all people who hate going to the doctor not just you specifically) already feel like you're wasting their time.

The one time I got so frustrated by an eyebit I went into the nearest optometrist to ask for help the nice lady said she couldn't find anything, either but then patted my shoulder and said it either got washed out by the eyedrops she used to numb my eye, or had been an inverted eyelash that finally got dislodged. I have no idea if she was telling me the truth or just wanted me to leave happy (and come back to buy my next pair of glasses there, which I did.)

Not really. Until the boys got kitted out in their gear - and then are down here when she wants a go - we never had safety fear that would fit any of the kids. So she's sat on the bike a few times, but not really had a proper spin.
Coincidentally, I am even as I type listening to a podcast of a college psychology course--the lecture is on memory disorders, and apparently most of their case studies come from people who were riding motorcycles without helmets. O_O So, yeah, VERY wise! (Not that you need me to tell you that, but it's quite alarming to listen to!)

Belated happy birthday, John! It sounds like you had a lovely day, and I hope you enjoy working in the allotment. I had one once upon a time and it completely changed my perspective on bunny rabbits: from seeing them as adorable, woffly-nosed little things that mustn't be harmed, I revised my thoughts to evil-minded little buggers who keep stealing my hard-grown vegetables.
